TR-8 Air Barrier - Testing(IA7,IIA7)

Air barrier – testing: Testing must be performed in accordance with section
ECC 402.4.1.2 or R402.4.1.3 and shall be accepted if the building meets the requirements detailed in such section. Test results must be retained in accordance with the provisions of Title 28 Projection factors: Where the energy analysis utilized a projection factor > 0, the projection dimensions of
overhangs, eaves or permanently attached shading devices shall be verified for conformance with approved plans by visual inspection. Air barrier testing: Testing [must] must be performed in accordance with section ECC C402.5.1.3.1 or ASHRAE 90.1 section 5.4.3.1.3, and shall be accepted if the building  meets the requirements detailed in such section. Test results shall be retained in accordance with the provisions of Title 28 of the Administrative Code. Testing must be performed by a third-party independent of the contractor and acceptable to the department.
